High Potential Week

Welcome to Outdoor Lab's High Potential Week!

This years opportunity will be held June 1 - 5, 2020!

This is a week-long extension of the Outdoor Lab experience that is meant to inspire and motivate the high-achieving student that is just completing sixth grade. Students concentrate their studies in just one class for the entire week and take their learning to new levels with other like-minded, deep thinking students.

To participate in this unique experience students must have been nominated by a teacher, nominations closed March 4, 2020. Once nominated, students must submit an online application to reserve a spot in the class of their choice. The application will be emailed to families from Jeffco Public Schools the week of March 9th.

Five classes are offered at each Outdoor Lab Site - Mt. Evans and Windy Peak - and space is limited. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and applications are due Friday, April 3rd. Families will be notified the week of April 6th (via email) as to what class/site students were accepted into and what next steps are.

Classes being offered for the 2020 week include:
Art Adventures
Aquatic Biology
Search and Rescue
Wildlife Forensics
Environmental CSI
